Project Title: Maynooth Furniture
Merging High-End Aesthetics with Conversion-Centric UX
The Overview: A comprehensive page redesign for Maynooth, focused on transforming a luxury furniture catalog into a seamless, high-conversion e-commerce experience. The objective was to balance high-fidelity visual storytelling with a rigorous Information Architecture (IA) that guides users from inspiration to checkout.
My Role: Lead UX/UI Designer (Visual Design, Information Architecture, Logo Design).
01 | Strategic Interaction Design
In furniture e-commerce, the primary user pain point is "spatial uncertainty." I addressed this by designing Dynamic Product Layouts that prioritize multi-angle high-resolution imagery and clear spatial dimensions. The interaction model was kept intentionally simple to ensure the "Hero" products remain the focal point, reducing cognitive load during the decision-making process.
02 | Information Architecture & Hierarchy
I restructured the site’s IA to mirror natural shopping behaviors. By implementing a Logical Categorization System, I reduced the "click-depth" required to find specific pieces. Every page from the landing to the product detail follows a strict visual hierarchy, ensuring that pricing, specifications, and "Cart’s" actions are always within the user's primary line of sight.
03 | The "Joy" of Minimalist UI
The visual language leverages Strategic Minimalism: generous white space is used as a functional tool to accentuate product details and textures. This clean aesthetic isn't just a stylistic choice; it serves the UX goal of "Distraction-Free Shopping," allowing the brand's craftsmanship to communicate quality and build user trust.
